Evelyn Chan is an educational technology and digital content specialist and scholarly practitioner working in the Ontario college sector. She supports faculty in designing clear, accessible, and engaging online and technology-enabled learning experiences grounded in Universal Design for Learning and learner-centered design.
Her work focuses on course quality, instructional and learning experience design, interactive digital learning, and faculty development. She is a Quality Matters Certified Peer Reviewer and Certified Master Reviewer, and has participated in internal and external Quality Matters reviews for institutions across North America. Through this work, she has developed practical approaches to alignment, measurable learning outcomes, accessibility, and intentional course structure.
Evelyn is the author of a series of open Pressbooks on digital learning that explore course quality, inclusive design, meaningful engagement, and the ethical and reflective use of artificial intelligence in education. Her writing draws on practice-based scholarship and professional learning to support educators navigating digital teaching with clarity, care, and responsibility.
She lives and works in Ontario, Canada and continues to learn alongside educators through collaboration, open educational practice, and ongoing professional inquiry.
